As the granddaughter of Ch. Daya Ram (CDR), I carry forward a legacy rooted in vision, compassion, and selfless service. My grandfather's values have deeply shaped my life, becoming the moral compass that guides my choices. His enduring commitment to community upliftment continues to inspire me to pursue a path where purpose is prioritised over personal gain, and where the ultimate reward lies in transforming lives.
My academic foundation in Psychology and Sociology, earned at Jesus & Mary College, Delhi University, has significantly influenced my worldview. These disciplines not only enhanced my understanding of human behaviour and societal structures but also instilled in me the importance of empathy, inclusiveness, and social responsibility. I have come to see education as one of the most powerful tools for social transformation—a means to unlock human potential, bridge disparities, and lay the foundation for a more equitable future.
While my early professional journey led me into the creative world of fashion design—where I pursued a diploma and contributed to the establishment of a few promising fashion brands—my true calling always resided in social welfare and education. I found joy in creativity, but I longed for a deeper impact. This realisation led me to make a life-altering decision in 2019, when I chose to leave the commercial world behind and devote myself fully to the cause that speaks most to my heart.
Today, I proudly serve as the Head and Principal of CDR Public School, a position that allows me to combine my leadership skills, academic background, and personal passion for child development. I am deeply committed to ensuring that every student who walks through our gates receives not just academic instruction, but a holistic, value-based education—one that nurtures their intellectual, emotional, moral, and creative faculties. My aim is to create an environment where students are not only well-educated, but also confident, compassionate, and prepared to contribute meaningfully to society.
At CDR Public School, my role encompasses school management, strategic planning, curriculum oversight, teacher empowerment, and above all, student welfare. I believe in a child-centred approach—where every student, regardless of background or circumstance, is given equal opportunity to thrive and excel. My leadership philosophy is grounded in listening, inclusion, and continuous improvement. I view leadership not as a title, but as a commitment to serve, uplift, and inspire.
Being a mother of two wonderful children has given me insights that no degree or position could offer. Parenthood has deepened my empathy, broadened my understanding of children's emotional needs, and strengthened my resolve to make education more compassionate and meaningful. It has helped me appreciate the nuances of nurturing young minds and has reinforced my dedication to building safe, inclusive, and joyful learning spaces where every child feels seen, valued, and supported.
In addition to my role at CDR Public School, I am honoured to serve on the Governing Body of the Bethel School Society, the non-profit organisation that governs our institution. Through this role, I actively contribute to the design and implementation of initiatives that go beyond academics—programs that focus on character development, emotional intelligence, life skills, and civic responsibility. We believe that education should not only prepare children for careers but also for life.
For me, this journey is far more than a profession—it is a calling. It is a daily act of gratitude and responsibility to the community that raised me and to the legacy I am privileged to uphold. I do not measure success in numbers or accolades, but in the smiles of our students, the confidence in their voices, and the light in their eyes when they dare to dream bigger.
Giving back to society and carrying forward my family's values is both a privilege and a duty. I remain steadfast in my commitment to empower young minds, uplift the underprivileged, and build a future anchored in hope, integrity, and compassion.
At CDR, I believe that through education, we can create a ripple effect—one child at a time—that shapes a better world for generations to come.
